This 9-mile day trip on the Broad River Water Trail is highlighted by stunning spider lilies at Anthony Shoals and a celebration of American Revolutionary War history.
Join Georgia Rivers experienced guides for this run from Ga. 17 to the Broad River Campground on this America250 adventure. The trip will culminate with a thrilling ride through Anthony Shoals Class I-II rapids with views of the breathtakingly beautiful colonies of shoals spider lilies. Before the trip will visit the Nancy Hart Log Cabin site and learn about this heroine of the Revolutionary War as part of our ongoing celebration of the country’s semiquincentennial. Paddling experience is encouraged for this trip. Helmets must be worn when navigating Class II Anthony Shoals. Registration fees include guide services, river map and shuttle services.
Skill Level Required:
This is a flatwater paddle with Class I-II rapids. It is recommended for paddlers with experience in moving water.
