On this 13-mile adventure we will celebrate the Flint River Water Trail as it winds through Meriwether County from Joe Kurz Wildlife Management Area to Woodbury. The route is mostly flatwater but punctuated by numerous shoals. It is highlighted by Flat Shoals, a one-time haunt of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The trip is organized in conjunction with water trail developers in Meriwether County.

The route is mostly flatwater, but includes Class I shoals and rapids approaching Class II in difficulty at Flat Shoals.

Registration fees include shuttle and guide service, educational programs and river maps. Rental boats are available.

Specific logistical information will be e-mailed to all registered participants in the week leading up to the adventure.
