On this weekend excursion to Northwest Georgia, we will explore the incredible diversity of the Conasauga River, getting up-close-and-in-person with dozens of species of fish in the Conasauga River Snorkel Hole within the Chattahoochee National Forest on one day and then exploring an eight-mile section of river the other. No previous snorkeling experience is necessary to participate.
The paddle route is on a narrow and intimate section of the Conasauga with mostly flatwater and some Class I shoals. Cross-river strainers are a possibility.
Details of camping, meals, logistics and registration fees remain to be finalized for this special event. More details to be published as plans become finalized. Check back regularly for new information!
