🛶 Why take ACA “Kayaking 101”?

Kayakers comprise the bulk of paddlesports growth, and the majority of paddling fatalities. Surprisingly, accidents happen most often in calm water conditions. Nearly 75% of fatalities involve paddlers with less than 100 hours experience and 35% of those have less than 10 hours experience. ACA “Kayaking 101” covers basic paddle strokes and rescue maneuvers to educate everyone on safe boating and sets new paddlers up to have fun for a lifetime!

⭐️ How much is the class?

ACA “Kayaking 101” costs JUST $15 per person! (including a free kayak rental for anyone who signs up for it at registration) This type of training often retails for $75-$150.

👏 How is this possible?!

All instructors are Georgia volunteers who are nationally certified with the American Canoe Association to give paddling and rescue training, and are supported by experienced safety teams. They are volunteering to offer this training as a special event in conjunction with National Safe Boating Week.
