We live on a blue planet – 71% of Earth is covered in water. To celebrate our water world, download the Georgia River Guide app and donate to add more water trails to the app!

Georgia’s network of water trails comprise thousands of miles of paddling, fishing and recreational destinations stretching to every corner of the state. Georgia Rivers hosts the FREE Georgia River Guide app to help you find water trails, plan trips and paddle to protect Georgia rivers.

Use the Georgia River Guide app to:

  • Protect water trails and right of passage. Each paddle on a water trail is proof that the waterway is used for outdoor recreation and that Georgia should protect the freedom to float all rivers and streams capable of floating a boat.  Protecting public right of passage will protect Georgia’s outdoor recreation tradition!
  • Promote water trails across the state. Use the Georgia River Guide app to find hidden gem water trails in remote parts of Georgia. Paddling in these regions supports river recreation and boosts the rural tourism economy.
  • Paddle in Paddle-a-thon! The Georgia River Guide app has everything you need to plan trips as you compete in Paddle-a-thon, our annual peer-to-peer paddling competition and fundraiser. Paddle for a chance to win prizes in a variety of categories!

This Earth Day,  we ask you to download the Georgia River Guide app and donate to help us add even more rivers and information to the app! Your support will help us keep the Georgia River Guide app free to download and use.

Our goal this Earth Day is to raise $15,000 and add 300 new users to the Georgia River Guide app.

Thanks to a grant from the Department of Natural Resources, every dollar you give will be tripled and will help us expand the app with more water trails and real-time safety tools. Your support will connect more people to Georgia’s rivers, expand access through the app, and strengthen our collective impact on river protection!
