Mission:
The mission of the Division of Environment is the protection of public health and the environment. The Division is organized into four operating units: Office of Environmental Affairs, Erosion and Sedimentation Enforcement, Code Enforcement, and a Court Liaison. The Environment Division is responsible for coordinating environmental issues within unincorporated Fulton County, along with conducting a number of regulatory functions. In addition, the Division administers other programs to educate the public, lessen non-point source pollution, and evaluate environmental conditions across the County.

Volunteer stream monitoring through the Georgia Adopt-A-Stream program, water conservation program, storm drain marking, stream and river clean ups, workshops for teachers and citizens, water festivals, and special events
