Healthy Rivers, Healthy You Challenge: Look for Litter by Your River
Healthy Rivers Healthy You copy

What better way to help keep our rivers clean than to simply pick up the trash we see in or around them? Find the healthier you by simply grabbing a trashbag, finding a river near you, and picking up the trash you see! By getting outside and walking to help clean our rivers, you’re taking an important step to becoming healthier. Sometimes it’s the little exercises that count! Did you know that walking just one mile a day burns 100 calories? And studies show that if you add 2,000 steps to your regular activities during the day, you may never gain another pound? Who would’ve thought litter could be a good thing?
